NXT’s Oba Femi Wants WWE PLE in Africa
NXT’s Oba Femi is hoping that a WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) can find it’s way to Africa in the near future as WWE has expanded their PLEs beyond North America into countries such as Germany, Scotland, France, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and more.
“I would love to see a PLE in Africa” Femi said during an interview with Scott Johnson on the Going Ringside Podcast. “I feel there is a market there that has been unexplored for years. We have had live shows go to South Africa, but ,it’s much bigger than just South Africa. I feel the entire continent is riding hard for WWE.”
Femi did add that an event in Africa wouldn’t be easy for WWE as there would be potential “culture shock” and a “fear of the unknown” that would in play, among other things. However, Femi believes that the crowd reaction to a WWE PLE event would be incredible.
“Oh my God, I’m talking one of the hottest crowds the company has ever seen” he added. “They would go ballistic for their king [himself], but, they would go ballistic for everything for the product.”
